NEW VOICES FROM SHROPSHIRE

Daniel Shirley has commissioned 15 American composers representing diverse aesthetic and cultural backgrounds to set lyrics from A.E. Housman’s ‘A Shropshire Lad’.

Project supported by generous grants from the Pitt County, NC Arts Council, the ECU College of Fine Arts and Communication, and the ECU School of Music.

Project ongoing, with livestreamed performance featuring tenor Daniel Shirley and pianist Eric Stellrecht slated for Fall 2021.
